Monastery Modern House
This concept we call monastery modern. The house was originally designed by a San Miguel architect known for a monastic style. The project was abandoned by the original owner and it sat unfinished for several years. The new owners, from New York, hired us to re-imagine the house for their needs. The work involved reconfiguring several areas and bringing the owner’s particular style preferences to finish the interior spaces with a modern-transitional flair. We also coordinated a completely new landscape design.
