COMMERCIAL AND HOSPITALITY - VINEYARDS AND WINERIES

La Santisima Trinidad

The first project in what became a long-term relationship with the developer. The hotel and clubhouse are the hub of a new hospitality concept for San Miguel de Allende - a residential vineyard development of 75 lots. The small hotel, with only six suites, serves as an amenity for guests of residents, as well as a community restaurant and social gathering space. The nearby clubhouse serves for meetings and gatherings and houses administration offices. The project was inspired by the terrain and architecture of Tuscany.

Vinedos San Lucas

Viñedos San Lucas is residential vineyard development of 85 lots, a clubhouse, hotel and restaurant. Equestrian facilities and polo field cater to the upscale Mexican client. The Tuscan theme, which proved successful at Santisima Trinidad was repeated for this project. The hotel consists of four villas, each with two rooms and two suites. There is a separate restaurant building. The brick winery is a re-use of the former tractor barn.

Vinedos San Francisco

Viñedos San Francisco was conceived as a modern country style development adjacent to Viñedos San Lucas. The Hotel includes an integrated restaurant and rooftop bar. Stone, steel and glass with wood accents are the primary materials. Each suite has its own loft for entertainment or as a second bedroom, making the accommodations family friendly. The restaurant features wines from the development’s vineyards.

Vinicola Bernal

This project is an adaptive re-use of existing wine-making facilities that had produced wine for the churches, but had never been envisioned as a compelling visitor experience. Farnum Studio led a team of collaborators to re-purpose the existing grounds and buildings, creating a winery village which could become the nucleus for a future mixed use development on several hundred acres. The village combines a winery, brewery and boutique hotel. Inspiration came from 19th century European industrial and agricultural buildings. Brick, stone and corregated steel are the primary materials.
